Montana is back on the winning side of the ball, coming off an 8 point homecoming win against Idaho State. This week we discuss what we saw that we really liked, and where we continue to have concerns moving forward. After the opening of the pod the conversation centers around what seems to be missing with the defense, if Montana has possibly found their guy at QB, and the noticed OL rotation this weekend. With that talk concluded we look around the conference, hop into a quick preview on UC Davis, and then close out with listener questions.

After a crushing upset loss to Northern Arizona the GFP convenes to discuss what they saw, ongoing concerns, and if there’s still hope that the Grizzlies can turn the season around. Joined with guest Kyle Sample and a quick drop in surprise from Andrew Schmidt there was clearly plenty to discuss. This GFP really covers the observed issues and concerns through the first 4 games of the season and doesn’t go too deep into specific discussion on the progression of the NAU game. We think you’ll really appreciate both Kyle’s perspective as a former journalist, and Andrew’s as a former player. In this GFP we don’t do much of a look around the conference, but do spend the last hour covering fan questions.

Joining the pod this week is "recovering sports writer" Lynn Solomon, to share takeaways from the Ferris State game. As usual the pod opens with a long discussion on the game and the atmosphere. And while there was a lot of fun there are also some ongoing concerns that are covered as well. And now with the OOC schedule in the rearview mirror, it's time to lock in for conference play. With Luke on assignment, Kyle Sample joins the pod this week to recap Montana's game against Butler. Fan sentiment and fan questions suggested quite a bit of worry from the Grizzlies opening weekend 35-20 win. On the pod we get right into the full conversation on what we liked and what gave us worry. After the full game recap we look around the conference and recap the week plus we look ahead. This upcoming weekend Montana heads to Utah Tech, and we've got a scouting report for you. If the fan questions are your favorite, well... we had a lot! Can you feel it Griz Nation? The long wait for Grizzly Football is over! Montana's opening game is set for this Saturday against the Butler Bulldogs and we had plenty to cover. With our guest, voice of the Griz, Riley Corcoran, we cover thoughts and observations of this Grizzly team and how they looked in fall camp. The chat provides awesome insight on names to get familiar with, and areas where he's most excited for. After that the guys move into season predictions and some general thoughts all over the conference. Fan questions round out the final 45 minutes or so. The season is here, Go Griz!

The 2023 College football season is about here, and the GFP is back! In the midst of rapid changes at the FBS level with conference realignments we sit down and chat about this last weeks major football news. Joining the GFP is Ryan Thornberg with the R&R Cat Cast as well. Ryan adds some additional insight and thoughts from his perspective on the landscape of college football, plus how different Big Sky Conference schools may or may not make good candidates for move ups. The group also discusses the preseason media and coaches polls and all conference teams. There was plenty of fan questions after 4+ months since our last pod, answering and covering those take up essentially the entire last half of the show.

It's been a few months Griz fans, we missed you! In our first episode of 2023 Brint and Mike (with James of course) sat down to share their thoughts on the Spring Game. The discussion covers players that stood out, impressions on the game overall, and areas on ongoing need. From there the discussion moves quickly to wrap up the Men's and Women's basketball seasons. There's a talk on the media landscape as well in the wake of recent local shakeups in coverage. And of course our last 1/3 of the pod is fan questions. Questions this time ranged from expectations on the season, winning fights against feral hogs, Thai food, and Easter candy. Enjoy!

After a week off the GFP is back and has plenty to recap and discuss. First up we cover the NDSU playoff loss and some general observations and thoughts from there. After that the discussion moves more broad on this year's results vs it's expectations. The conversation continues with some forward thoughts and much asked about discussions on needed upcoming changes. Finally, fan questions round out the show in the final segment. The Montana Grizzlies mounted an incredible comeback on Saturday night. The Griz scored 31 unanswered points to secure a first round playoff win and we're here to recap it. With Luke stuck on icy roads Kyle Sample joins us for the full breakdown. There were records broken, wild moments, and ongoing frustrations to fully cover.
