The Montana Grizzlies roll on to the FCS quarter-finals and we’re here to cover it all! The Grizzlies had a decisive 30 point win against Delaware in a snow globe game with all sorts of memorable events. This week we took time to reflect on that game and discuss the playoffs, FCS and FBS, in general. After that some initial thoughts are shared about the Furman Paladins. And then, as always, the pod closes with just over an hour of fan questions.

Marcus is assisting with the Good ‘ol Grizzlies NIL and he helps explain on how fans and businesses can better assist our student athletes. You’ll hear a lot of great insight from Marcus on the plans and goals of what this NIL can do for Montana. From there we discuss Montana’s upcoming opponent, the Delaware Blue Hens, and we take a quick look at other playoff games. The Montana Grizzlies concluded their season with a 37-7 ass kicking of the Bobcats. And in doing so, securing their first outright conference title since 2011 (we were there, it happened). Kyle Sample rejoins the pod and we spend practically the entire 3 hours recapping the day. With everyone nursing various degrees of hangovers we relive the entire day and share our best memories.

And, we’re back! It’s been 100 episodes since the first the Griz Fan Podcast on April 25th in 2018. And, we’re back! For this week we reflect on the 100 episodes since the first the Griz Fan Podcast on April 25th in 2018. Episodes used to be under an hour long, opened with a bluegrass song, and were recorded on an ipad. Now, pods surpass 2 hours, open with updates from James, and are recorded on a sound board. As we look back, the GFP maybe had a few hundred listens each week, now it’s in the tens of thousands. On this week’s pod, without a game to recap, we do a little bit of talk around the conference. We take some time to chat quickly on the upcoming Northern Colorado game. From there, we have a lot of fan comments and questions reminiscing on pod moments. To all who keep tuning in to have a chat about Grizzly sports and have a few beers with us, we appreciate you, go Griz!

This week’s pod welcomes former Griz WR Samuel Akem to talk on the game and to share an update on what he’s up to. You'll gain insight into the player perspective of a big win. Are the Montana Grizzlies turning the corner? Coming off a pretty big road win against a ranked team the GFP is back at it to discuss their observations and thoughts from Montana’s win. With a starting QB seemingly locked in there was a lot to talk about on the offense and some excellent standout play from the defense. While the win was a big one, there was also plenty to critique as well. After that we move on to a quick recap of the two other games in conference. From there we look around the conference at this weekend’s upcoming games. The pod spends some time giving you a preview of who to look for and what to expect from Idaho, and then as always, we close out with fan questions!
