Griz Fan Podcast - What the opt-in means for Montana

The University of Montana officially opted-in to the House Settlement that allows the program to share revenue with the players.  Helping explain what that means and how the next few years will look, Montana Athletic Director Kent Haslam sat down with us to talk it over.  In one of our shorter pods Kent shares the process, the reason for the decision, and how the current NIL collective will continue to operate.  We round out with questions on the bubble, scheduling and the ever changing Big Sky Conference.

In this special (and shorter) episode of the GFP, we sat down with UM Athletic Director Kent Haslam. We tackle a variety of topics on the minds of Griz Nation. This week we put out the question: If you could ask the athletic department one question, what would it be? The responses received were incredible, and we build an extensive list of questions from it.

We did our best to cover as much as possible in our broad conversation. Topics included stadium and facilities improvements, conference alignments, NIL, and recent NCAA lawsuits and settlements. Additionally we discussed fan experience, scheduling, the cost of uniforms and equipment, and much more.

Griz Fan Podcast - Happy New Year from the GFP!

It's 2025 and it's time to take a look ahead to what's in store for the Montana Grizzlies.  After a few weeks off the GFP found themselves with quite a few topics to cover!  Through the pod time is given to talk college football and the playoffs (FBS and FCS) in general.  There's some chat to the NFL playoffs as well.  A good portion of the pod is given to discussions portal additions and losses the Grizzlies have had.  Additional discussion is given to best case / worst case early outlooks for the 2025 football season.  There were plenty of fan questions to cover as well, which spurred some chat on the basketball seasons as well.
